Writing a prompt that is clear

A model reads a prompt from the front. A subject named in the first clause is almost always stronger than one that arrives at the end, however many adjectives are attached to it.

Name the subject first, the style later

Write what is in the picture before writing how it should feel. A style placed up front tends to swallow the subject.

  • Subject and what it is doing

  • Setting and time

  • Light

  • Style or medium

Cut the words that describe nothing

Words like beautiful, stunning, or high quality give the model no new information. That space is better spent naming a colour, a material, or the direction of the light.
